Join us as a WWOOF volunteer!
WWOOF USA offers a rare opportunity for people to pitch in and build skills with others while experiencing farm life to the fullest. The program, started 40 years ago in Great Britain, places "Willing Workers On Organic Farms" (W.W.O.O.F).
Tir na nOg Farm welcomes WWOOFers onto the property to help get work done with the intention of sharing knowledge while growing food for local communities. Volunteers share our home, our meals, and the rhythm of our days. They share the farm's victories and frustrations, from skinned knuckles to sun-warmed berries, from hawk-killed hens to newly-hatched chicks. Oh, and watch out for board games. We may teach you how to transplant tomatoes in the morning, only to trounce you soundly in an after-dinner game of Settlers of Catan. There. You've been warned.
Here's how WWOOFing works: roughly 4-6 hours of volunteer work, per day, is exchanged for room & board. Your trade agreement can be adjusted any number of ways: Work hours, days, length of stay, meal arrangements and accommodations vary greatly, and it is a joint responsibility of each volunteer & host to form a clear agreement.

Sponsor a WWOOFer!
Each year, Tir na nOg Farm hosts many volunteers who are eager to put in physical labor on the farm in exchange for housing, meals and education. The WWOOF program is free to all participants, but the farm does incur certain costs for each volunteer. Through your generous donations, we are able to provide airport/bus station pick-up and drop-off, accommodate dietary restrictions, provide decent housing and protective gear/outerwear. The more donations we receive, the more volunteers we can bring on our adventure into restorative agriculture! Contact us for more information on supporting our educational programs!
